Laser Tag Tournaments for LASERTRON Players
2009 World Championships Is On!
The LASERTRON Worldchamionships are scheduled for August 1st and 2nd, 2009. The tournament will once again be held at Circle C Ranch in Delevan, New York on Saturday, August 1 and LASERTRON in Amherst, New York for the conclusion on August 2. We will start at 10 am at Circle C on Saturday and play all day, with some breaks. Families are welcome at Circle C and there are lots of non-laser tag activities.
The tournament will conclude beginning at 9 am on Sunday at LASERTRON. Final time will depend on number of team entries, but we anticipate being done by 5 p.m.
We intend to play round-robin 8-player team events for Team Sport, Quad Sport and Shields Recharge. In addition, there will be a solo Free-For-All, Top-Player and a Manager's Cup event (draft event). Team Sport and Shields Recahrge will be round robin with no final unless we have 8 or more teams.
We have lowered the entry fee to $45 per person. Entry fee includes entry into every event, plus one practice session and two meals at Circle C Ranch. There is no deposit requirement, but teams are asked to e-mail their rosters to firstname.lastname@example.org at least three days prior to the event.
This year, if we have at least 6 full teams, there will be about $900 in prize money over all the events. Prize money will be dedicated to the top two teams in each event, plus the top four players in the individual event.

2008 LASERTRON World Championships.
Last year's World Championship event took place near Buffalo, New York in August. The Amherst LASERTRON Interactive Entertainment Center hosted many of the events. This location is the oldest continually operating laser tag facility in North America.
The LASERTRON Sport Arena, remodeled in 2004 is a giant 9,200 square foot multi-level laser tag experience. One of the largest laser tag arenas in the world, the Sport Arena can play 48 players simultaneously on up to four teams.
The remaining events were played at Circle C Ranch in nearby Delevan. Circle C is a long-running Christian camp with many outdoor activities about one hour from LASERTRON in Amherst. In 2005, Circle C Ranch installed a new LASERTRON arena and LT-11 laser tag system.
The events at Circle C included access to many of their popular outdoor activities including swimming and horseback riding. These activities were enjoyed by laser tag player families and the players themselves when not actively playing.
The 2008 World Championships was comprised of multiple events. Division 1 players will play Team Sport, Quad Sport and Shields-Recharge. Division 2 players will compete in Team Sport, Quad Sport and Team Free-For-All events. Players from both divisions will be eligible for the Manager's Cup draft event and the Solo Free-For-All event. Division 1 events will be for 8-player teams, while Division 2 events will be designed for 4-player teams.
